Caring for our planet and becoming genuinely sustainable are at the heart of what we do. This is why we have worked hard to be able to say that we are carbon neutral, which means that we have offset all our CO2 emissions in 2020. In fact, we have offset more than that; a total of 5 tonnes is what we have offset through an exciting United Nations project in Cambodia that converts excess rice into biomass.

Neutralising our carbon footprint is a step forward, but we know that this is not enough. Which is why we strive, every day to reduce our impact on the environment. All our formulas are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Most of the ingredients they contain are organic, which promotes biodiversity and avoids the use of pesticides and fertilisers. All our labels and boxes are printed with plant-based, low migration ink and our packaging is either recyclable or made from sustainable materials such as cardboard, aluminium, glass or sugar cane.


Sensuous components play a key role in our philosophy and our products. Delicious aromas, immersive textures and the delectable sensation of a cream melting into the skin are ingredients for creating a feeling of wellbeing, when it is much easier to feel in touch with yourself.

We believe that beauty heals us. This is why our products are beautiful inside and on the outside. The packaging is designed by Alex, the creator of our brand, featuring watercolours that reflect her serene and dreamlike world.


We feel a deep respect for nature, animals and people. Our actions and our products are thus focused on protecting and caring for our planet and all who live on it.

Our brand, like all brands operating in the EU, does not test its products on animals in order to sell its products (according to Directive 2003/15/EC). We at Vera & the Birds will never sell to a market where, to do so, animal testing is required.
